Busy days for the R&D software team!
Over this past year the whole HERNIS organization has been preparing for the delivery of the first phases of the Vankor project in Russia. For the R&D Software department the project called for large scale development, and was welcomed as an opportunity to realize new ideas and state-of-the-art technology. Mr. Carl Are Hopen, Senior Developer for the Vankor project and his team are proud of the results just weeks before the official launch.

HERNIS conquers the Russian tundra

New Product! HERNIS Multi Video Decoder
HERNIS is pleased to be releasing our new Multi Video Decoder for the HERNIS 500 system. The component is designed to decode multiple streamed video to composite video and represents a cost-saving means of utilizing existing analogue monitors in IP systems.

60 dined with HERNIS under the Singapore skyline
The Annual Appreciation Trophy this year went to Jurong Shipyard Pte Ltd (JSPL), our biggest customer in Singapore in 2007. The award was handed over to Mr. Philip C.L. Chan by Marketing Director Mr. Bjørn Fossestøl who had come from HERNIS' head office.

HERNIS CCTV operation integrated in NOV's Drilling Control System
In 2006 HERNIS entered into a cooperation with National Oilwell Varco (NOV) to integrate HERNIS CCTV operation into the NOV standard Amphion Control Touch PC. The prototype was presented at OTC 07 at the AC-Ideal Demo Rig. Positive results immediately led to more orders!

HERNIS 25th Anniversary celebration
HERNIS celebrates its 25 year anniversary these days. On April 27 2007, most of the HERNIS staff went to Amsterdam to board the cruise ship Jewel of the Seas for a 4 days cruise from Amsterdam via Copenhagen to Oslo.

Gasco Ruwais NGL 3 - expansion project
A close co-operation with Royal Arctic Line AS in Denmark led to an exiting pilot project, which took place in Greenland this spring, when it was agreed to install two thermal HERNIS camera stations onboard the M/S Mary Arctica for ice detection.
