ISPS Code Compliance

Meet the ISPS code requirements with HERNIS CCTV

Maritime transportation is a prime potential target for terrorism. The International Maritime Organisation has developed measures to enhance maritime security, among these the ISPS (International Ship and Port Facilities Security Code). The code aims to detect security threats and implement security measures.

Among the safety measures required for ships and port facilities are:

  • Monitoring and controlling access
  • monitoring the activities of people and cargo

HERNIS has gained wide practical experience with the application of CCTV for security purposes in the marine and oil & gas related sectors. Coupled with our knowledge of the security requirements set forth in the ISPS code we are able to advice on how to comply with the Internal Ship and Port Facility Security requirements. The security solution can be entirely CCTV based or involve people and integration to other Security Systems like Fire & Gas Alarm systems.
